596Acres
Community land access advocates in the US that help individuals find others in their neighbourhood to come together to take over a vacant lot (piece of land) and turn it into a community growing space. If you live in New York, New Orleans or Australia, you can go to the map online and find a vacant lot in your neighbourhood and ‘watch it’ to see if others become interested too. Once others become interested you get notified and can arrange to meet up to take on the lot together.
596acres offer a range of resources, depending where you are in the process and they also host a frequently asked question board.
